Mustello Secures State Funding for Manufacturing Facility in Butler
HARRISBURG – Butler Technologies Inc. will soon have a new manufacturing facility thanks to a $500,000 Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grant.
“I am pleased to announce today that the city of Butler is the recipient of funding to be used toward the construction of a new manufacturing facility to expand screen printing, digital printing, and finishing assembly operations,” said Mustello. “It is nice to see our community expand. This project will bring jobs to the area and help boost the economy.”
The new facility expansion will allow the company to house additional equipment and personnel that is needed to support future growth. It will also have three areas for employees including restrooms, a breakroom and production area. The facility will sit on a concrete foundation, will be defined with primary and secondary steel components and will be fully insulated for efficient energy usage.
Funding for the project was authorized by lawmakers in the Capital Budget Project Itemization Act.
RACP is a Commonwealth grant program administered by the Office of the Budget for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational and historical improvement projects. These projects have a regional or multi-jurisdictional impact and generate substantial increases or maintain current levels of employment, tax revenues or other measures of economic activity. RACP projects are funded by the state and cannot obtain primary funding under other state programs.
