BUTLER – Reps. Marci Mustello (R-Butler) and Tedd Nesbit (R-Butler/Mercer) invite area residents to a Concealed Carry Seminar in Butler County on Thursday, Sept. 12, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Unionville Fire Department, 102 Mahood Road.

A presentation will be made by Butler County Sheriff Mike Slupe, who will share information about the state’s firearms laws. He will also provide information on personal protection devices and discuss issues related to physical, home and technology security.

“A lot of people own firearms so it’s just good for them to learn the laws,” said Mustello. “Law enforcement personnel have always been big supporters of this event because they don’t want to have to arrest someone who is otherwise a law-abiding citizen just because they’re unfamiliar with the laws.”

Registration is required for this event and can be made by going online at RepMustello.com/events, or by calling Mustello’s district office in Butler at 724-283-5852 or 855-282-0613. Seating is limited.

“I encourage residents interested in firearms safety, laws and rights to attend,” the lawmaker added.
