BUTLER - Rep. Marci Mustello (R-Butler), along with the Butler Area School District, will host a Cyber Bullying Seminar on Thursday, Nov. 4, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Butler Senior High School Auditorium,
120 Campus Lane, Butler.
A state trooper from the Pennsylvania State Police will give a presentation for parents about the dangers of bullying, harassment and sexting for students. The seminar is appropriate for the parents of middle school and high school aged students. Students are also encouraged to attend.
“The internet can be a very dangerous place, and it’s important that parents and students know what to watch for to stay safe,” said Mustello. “This seminar will teach parents how to protect their children from online predators and let them know what they should do if their child is a victim. We will also be discussing the dangers of students participating in risky online behaviors like bullying, harassment and sexting.”
This is a free event, but registration is requested. RSVP by calling Mustello’s office at 724-283-5852 or at
