Mustello Announces $95,000 Grant for Butler Area Public Library

April 7, 2026

BUTLER – The Butler Area Public Library has been awarded a $95,131 state grant to make improvements to the library, Rep. Marci Mustello (R-Butler) announced.

“Libraries are foundational community hubs for literacy, education and economic empowerment,” Mustello said. “This funding will be instrumental in helping the library update its heating, ventilation and air conditioning system, create public meeting space and renovate the building to make it more accessible, ensuring the library can better serve Butler-area residents.”

The funding was made available through the Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund, which was established by the General Assembly in 1993 and uses a portion of the revenue generated by Pennsylvania’s Realty Transfer Tax.
